R&B singer Olivia and Company Ready to Open Up in 'Love & Hip Hop'
Looks like R&B songstress Olivia is taking her talents to reality television this spring. The former first lady of G-Unit is done living in the shadows and is determined to make it on her own as a solo artist as she embarks on a new business venture.

The “Take It Off” singer will start in VH1's new 8-part docu-soap series, "Love & Hip Hop," which follows four dynamic women who are connected to the world of hip hop, whether it's through the men they love, or their struggle to be heard as an artist.

Olivia revealed the show to Singersroom last September (2010), during a Fashion Week interview, where she also talked about her upcoming album ‘Show the World,’ her relationship with 50 Cent and more.

"Love & Hip Hop" provides a dramatic, funny and sometimes heartbreaking look into the female side of the New York hip hop life as these four women try to claim their own place in it. Chrissy Lampkin, girlfriend to hip hop star Jim Jones, and Emily Bustamante, girlfriend to rapper Fabolous, are waiting for their men to put a ring on it; however, both men suffer from a severe case of commitment phobia.

Like Olivia, Somaya "Boss" Reese, has a fierce determination to launch her rap career and become a household name in the music industry. Watch it unfold when "Love & Hip Hop" premieres Monday, March 21.

Marsha Ambrosius' New Video 'Far Away' Tackles Gay Bashing and Suicide
Far Away,” the first video of Marsha Ambrosius’ forthcoming album ‘Late Nights & Early Mornings,’ has a huge message behind it. The song was written after her close friend attempted suicide and now Ambrosius wants to create awareness around gay bashing, suicide and homophobia in the urban community.

"I lost a friend and I've had friends that have attempted suicide,” Ambrosius tells the Associated Press. “There are people that don't have a voice to speak out and show what is happening and what can happen, so I just wanted people to see the honesty in it and be aware.”

In the recently released music video, a male friend of Ambrosius is assaulted and treated badly after kissing another man. The clip concludes with the man lying on his couch; a suicide letter and dozens of pills are visible.

"Because they're in such a bad place in their lives, there's nothing you can do to help someone if they can't help themselves," she said.

Ambrosius, who says she has a lot of gay fans, wants to help share their voice.

"I go to my shows and my audience is predominantly gay ... I've been approached by many who've said my music has influenced them and we'll speak about experiences that they've had. It's just only right that I give that voice back," she said.

"I think many musicians separate themselves from what they're actually going through in real life for fear of being judged for, you know, what their political views are (and) what they feel personally about things that are going on in the real world," she said. "Music for me is personal and that's the only way I know how to approach it."

Update: Former Doctor of Michael Jackson Accused of Attempting to Cover Up Cause of Death
2009 death of pop icon Michael Jackson, appeared in court Tuesday in a preliminary hearing. During the proceedings, prosecutors accused Murray of removing evidence from the scene once he discovered the singer's unconscious body, before calling a staff member to assist him.
While Jackson died of an acute Propofol intoxicat with Murray in the same house as the singer, the doctor maintains his innocence and has pled not guilty to the charges.

This is a drug that is typically used in surgery but was administered to Jackson as a sleep aid.

According to Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney David Walgren, there was a 20 minutes window between the time Murray found the superstar and when the paramedics were called by a security team member.

Walgren argued in a courtroom full of reporters and members of the Jackson family including Katherine, Jermaine, and LaToya Jackson that, "It is important that at this point, 911 has not been called or ordered to be called by Dr. Murray."
